Hooray! You have an idea for a show on Treet TV and we want to hear from you. As much fun as it is to do a weekly show it can also be surprising how much time it takes to pull it all together, but well worth it when your show is being watched by millions!

In general, there are a few things Treet looks for in new show ideas:

  1. Is it an original idea and concept?  (Treet is pretty picky about not borrowing copyrighted names and ideas from RL or other productions.)
  2. Do you have an existing community around the show that will increase viewership?
  3. Do you have a production team around you & the idea that can help pull it all together?
  4. Who will film and edit the final video?
  5. We prefer shows that have a regular schedule (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly) and can commit to that for some defined period of time. It's easy to do 5 or 6 shows, it's very difficult to do 50 or 100.
  6. Might there be an existing or potential sponsor for the show that would be a good match to your viewers to help cover costs?
  7. Can you guarantee that you have the permission or paid license to use any and all materials in your project? i.e. artwork, music, IP

These are not carved in stone, but they are all indicators that the show is a good investment of time and energy.

Treet is keen to provide assistance and guidance where our expertise is required, however, the creative vision is under your control. Show production, talent, set and crew are also arranged by the show production team. Depending on the show format and complexity, it can take a while to have production team working like a well-oiled machine. Typically, there is a process to getting a show on the air.

Steps To Help You Create A Show on Treet TV

  1. Create a one page pitch document that contains show concept, key talent, target audience and a treatment of what will occur during the show.
  2. Provide a detailed breakdown of the team of people who are able to produce the show with their names, roles and responsibilities (we can provide suggestions of some people who can provide assistance in doing this).
  3. Create a full script for a sample show with all spoken work pieces, breaks and transitions included.
  4. Present a full dress rehearsal to the Treet.tv team – with stand-in guest talent (keep in mind you will want this to be as close to the finished product as possible.)
  5. Create a unique show name and logo (doing trademark searches is a good idea)
  6. Provide layered Photoshop file of the logo and the introduction music
  7. Undertake a rehearsal shoot (with stand-in guest talent) so you can learn how it will look.
  8. Undertake a pilot shoot (with guest talent) that if successful can be used as your first show.
  9. Create a production schedule (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) of regular shows for distribution

These steps are needed to increase the chances that your show will be a success. Treet.tv makes no commitment to air shows until everyone is happy with the results and confident viewers will love it too.
